It’s tough to take all of 2009’s upcoming fashion and place it into a readable format. But I’m going to give it a whirl. So try not to take my opinions to the grave. That said this fall & winter men’s fashion will be detouring from the big puffy jackets and fitted caps we all have grown to love. I know, but I really know..nevermind.
The working class movement.

Interesting that as we are suffering from a sort of depression, that fashion expresses itself during this troubled time with early 1900’s aspects and design.
Members of the Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture are offering humble designs this year, with somber shades of brown, grey and black, along with a heavy use of wool overcoats and the always classy leather shoes.

Levi’s is also contributing to the working class movement this year with an aggressive marketing campaign reminiscent of a post-depression youth uprising.

But sometimes you need to shine.
Don’t worry, there is plenty to choose from this fall starting out with a fantastic company, and one of my personal favorites 10 DEEP.

Established in 1995, out of NYC, 10 DEEP is mixing it up this year with what seems to be a collaboration between hiphop style and lumberjacks. I’m game.
More?

BBC Ice Cream, of your favorite nerd rapper / beat genius Pharrell, is dropping a breath of fresh air to their clothing line in my opinion, with Space Beach, a collection of killer jackets, shirts, and enough creative design to help you be fresh as you can be.
Don’t forget about Nike.

Launching one of the most comprehensive collections to date, don’t forget about Nike. I’ve seen some of the new line on various blogs, and some of the gear is ill. With some nice windbreakers and cliche skateboarding t’s, offers a bit of 80’s style to this fall.
Last but not least.

Drama from Fantasy Factory and Rob Dyrdek’s cousin, has launched his clothing line Young & Reckless. With heavy exposure and a dedicated fan base, Drama is sure to succeed in another venture in Southern California.
Even though we’re in a tough economic state, men’s fashion is blazing a path for us, with clever concepts and cold weather inspiring designs, we can expect a lot of great apparel this year.
