Do you work from home?

The United States added nearly 1 million nonemployer businesses between 2008 and 2009. Are you one of them?

When I was working in an office, I can remember constantly thinking of how great it would be to work from home. I imagined myself waking up every morning similar to Cinderella, and having little birds dress me in cute matching pajamas. I’d skip to the kitchen, make a cup of coffee and read the morning paper while my husband, George Clooney and I discussed the weekend plans and how we should probably trade in our Lexus for a newer model since they have built in navigation because when we travel to the mountains to our second home, we don’t want to get lost. Then, I’d give him a peck on the cheek and proceed to my office that would be decorated in a brilliant mix of color placed in a strategic Feng Shui kind of way. I’d do my work diligently ‘til noon, then meet a friend for lunch. I’d turn down an offer to go to the Hamptons to go shopping because I had so much work to do, but I’d smile because I knew I loved what I was doing.

Before this fantasy goes any further, let me clarify that it was just that, fantasy. The only true part about all of that was the Lexus. Okay, that’s a lie. The truth of the matter is that I work from home, and it’s a struggle. All of those movies and TV shows that make it look like utopia aren’t accurate, and the fact is, working from home is hard and takes a great level of dedication, patience, and self discipline in order to master. Heck, I haven’t even mastered them, but I do make do. These skills aren’t available in the “Home and Living” section of Target, but here are a few of the tips and tricks that I’ve picked up over my last year of working at home.

1.	Adopt a Schedule – Although it may seem like working from home will enable you to go out late, and to sleep in, in no way will this help you be successful and dependable. Pick a “shift” that you feel comfortable with working. Early riser? Take a 9-5 shift. Late sleeper? Try a 1-9. Whatever your decision, own it and make it your own. Plan around your work schedule. Don’t work around your plans.

2.	Be In The Office – All rooms serve a purpose. A kitchen is for eating, a bedroom is for sleeping, a living room is for entertaining, an office is for working. Don’t do work from your bed for obvious reasons; you just may get into that perfectly comfortable position, and work takes a back seat. Have a designated room with everything (computer, printer, office supplies, water) that you would need to have a productive day. Use your office as an office. After all, do you use your kitchen as a bathroom? I hope not.

3.	Dress for the Occasion – If you’re anything like me, being in comfortable clothes makes you want to lounge out on the sofa, put on a movie, make a bowl of popcorn, and just relax. For so many years, we’ve been conditioned to feel that “comfortable” is “relaxing”. While this works for some cases, it doesn’t in the work field. Make a special habit to get dressed in clothes you’d be comfortable in going to a casual dinner with friends in. Psychologists agree that people tend to act in the way that they’re dressed, so if you’re dress professional…well, you get the idea.

4.	Make a list, check it twice – With everything you have to do, it’s more than easy to forget something. Maybe you have a reoccurring project every Monday, but one week, it slipped your mind because of a new project you got on Friday. What a rough way to lose a client. To avoid this, take the time out to take a look at your calendar and projects and see what is due when. Make a list of what needs to be done that day. (or the next day if you’re doing it the night before. ) Then, each morning, work your way down the list in order of priority. Take pride in crossing things off your list. You accomplished something. You’ve gotten further than most people do!

5.	One Thing at a Time – The number one skill that I see on resumes that I’ve edited is “multi-tasking”. So common, such a sought after trait, such BS. No one can multitask. The truth of the matter is that any given person can only handle one task at a time. For even if they’re truly working on 2 documents and they’re both open, they’re only truly working on one thing. Don’t try to multitask because you can’t and trying will only make you even less productive. Keep only the appropriate windows open that you need for your specific project. Get an idea for another project? It happens. Quickly jot it down on paper, and continue on with your current project. Don’t continually check your e-mail, check it maybe once every hour if you must and only reply to urgent matters. Save the rest for your next break.

6.	Take a break – We’re treating this like a regular work day, so be sure to schedule and honor your breaks. Sitting in front of a computer too long is not only visually damaging, but your patience and concentration begins to wear down as you become more mentally exhausted. Every 2 hours or so, take a quick 5 minute break to walk and get something to drink. Step outside, enjoy the fresh air. Pick up your Wii remote, and play a quick round of tennis or another physical game that will get your endorphins running again. But remember, a break is just that; a break. Nothing long term, just a brief 5-15 minutes to recharge your battery. Avoid putting on the television.

Bottom line – make sure you’re working from an area that’s work oriented, not the bed, not the sofa in front of this week’s episode of LOST. Reenact an office like space as much as possible, and be sure to adopt the behaviors and habits that we take on in a controlled environment. Hold yourself accountable, follow your own rules, and keep your work ethic intact.

Ahh that grabbed your attention didn’t it? This is an article, of un-biased material and information on the described topic above. I’ve written this article for many of my friends who are musicians, and for whoever is interested in REAL information, and not just heresy, or Uncle Bob’s experience from the 70’s.

First let’s begin with why you are a musician.

Do you have the passion? Or is it for personal growth? Maybe to receive more attention? You don’t have to explain to me why you are doing it, just as I don’t have to explain why I do what I do. I wouldn’t consider any of those options right or wrong, they are more or less motivation for your career.

A Career? Yes, career. As much as you want to believe you can make music, hang out with your friends all day, and not have to deal with the stresses of an average job, you can’t. Being a musician in this day and age is much different than what you’ve grown to know. Most “could-have-been” musicians have a normal 9-5 workday, and then come home to work on music. This can be confusing for artists, as they usually don’t understand the characteristics of running a small business.

(NOTE: If you are a hobbyist musician most of this does not apply to you.)

Wait, did you say small business? I’m just a Musician; I’m not running a company.
Oh but indeed you are.
Look at some of the “be my own boss” style careers, Entrepreneur, Real tor, Investor, or anything freelance and you will see being a professional musician is a FULL TIME job. That is, if you want to make money from it. And when I say money, I’m not attempting to crush your artistic integrity, or dream that you are so unique you won’t have to worry about money. I’m talking about putting food on the table, money for strings and other instruments, advertising, traveling expenses, etc.

Now, if you are still under the delusion that you’re just going to be “found”, you might as well quit reading this. Those cases come in EXTREME rarity, and even then there is someone behind the “talent” creating an avenue for discovery.

Back to small business, how does it tie in? Well for starters, you are marketing YOURSELF or YOUR BAND. So now you are promoting a skill YOU possess. Think of a plumber, who is offering his skills in his desired area. Whoa, nuts huh?

Alright, so I have to take this seriously? Of course, I’m sure you already are, but what you don’t realize is that there are literally THOUSANDS of people doing quite close to what you are doing. What you need to do is take a step ahead of them.

Contact someone experienced with promoting your skills, you may find that many people in your immediate family have great ideas on how to bring you or your band to light. Do you have avenues to promote you or your band? A few songs on Myspace is good, but let’s face it you’re no Rihanna.

Social Media is nice because most up and coming musicians are already experienced using it, whether it’s you or your band’s status updates, twitter feeds, or upcoming gigs, you can easily promote yourself to your friends or existing fan base. Did I mention it’s FREE?

Networking is KEY in becoming a successful musician, as with almost every professional career. Ever heard the expression “it’s not what you know, it’s who you know.”? How very true that is. How are you going to get fans in Seattle when you’re only promoting your music in Florida? Sure you have a Myspace, but chances are unless they are specifically looking for you, they have no idea you exist.

Freebies are a nice way of promoting yourself. Offering free lessons in whatever field you are skilled in, possibly doing pro-bono gigs for local charities, or maybe your friends little brother’s birthday party will give you more exposure locally, and can then provide you with more avenues of income, or visibility, so you may be able to reach those fans in Seattle.

Becoming a professional musician takes commitment, we all know that. But the type of commitment it takes rivals the amount needed to become a CEO, or even the President at times. The real question is, do you want it for the right reasons? Do you want to make it your life? Are you ready to sacrifice and work harder at it than anything you’ve ever done?

If you answered yes to those questions above, then I believe in you, and want to help you succeed. I am no musician, but as many know I am well skilled in branding, and promoting myself. I am more than willing to provide my experience to your “Career”, as long as you are interested in it being that. A career.

Good luck to you and your future endeavors.

Waiting for Diablo 3 driving you mad?

No need to fret, fans of action-oriented role-playing can get a first-rate fix of hacking and slashing right now in Torchlight, a dungeon crawl from the designers of the first two Diablo games and the cult hit, Fate.

I was introduced to this game by a friend, whose gaming interests are akin to those of mine; as in the MMORPG/Action/quest based games. If you’re looking for a successor to the Fate games, Torchlight boasts the same attitude, art style, and lighthearted personality that make that series a breezier play than the gothic Diablo games.

Don’t expect any surprises with this game though; the storyline consists of the typical rudimentary excuse to get you killing things under the ground.

You can play as one of three characters, the Destroyer fighter, a lithesome female anger called the Vanquisher, and the mage-mimicking Alchemist. Downside, outside of naming your adventurer, you’re stuck with these three stock choices. Character development runs along the same predictable RPG lines as its predecessors such as World of Warcraft and Arch Lord.

You gain experience points from slaying monsters. You level up every dungeon or so. You customize core stats like strength and magic.

Oh and have I mentioned loot?

This game is an absolute loot fest, acquiring gold and accessories is easy as killing a monster. Rare items are a plenty, reigniting your lust for the “Legendary” items. You can return to town at any point during your questing to buy things that you need, such as mana or health. But chances are you won’t have to return very often, as you acquire most of what you need in regular game play.

One thing that is new to the dungeon based RPG world is the introduction of the Pet character. Or, a more useful pet character. You can choose between a dog or a cat, but please don’t be confused; these are no mere house pets. Similar to that of Fable 2, these animals can find treasure, pick up gold, but also have the ability to fight, wear treasure and learn spells.

Another major plus with the Pet option is the ability to transfer items from your inventory to your pet’s inventory for storage, or for it to travel into town from the dungeon sell unnecessary items for you. Having this option allows you to loot and not have to worry about going to return to town to claim the gold for your items. Hardcore anyone?

The only downsides I see to the game is that, as in Diablo, the dungeons are so expansive and labyrinth like, that it is easy to lose yourself in the map. So while looking for a certain quest item, you may become a bit disoriented and find yourself re-traveling the map.

Another small incontinence is the identify scroll. This item is needed to identify mysterious or unknown items you pick up in your adventures. (Of course.)

Alas, this becomes troublesome when you run out of said scrolls and your torn between leaving multiple items behind, or chancing selling something nice.

But these two pitfalls of the game can be easily over looked by focusing on the vast game play, extensively detailed maps and great Diablo-esque music.

Over all, I give this game 7 out of 10. I thoroughly enjoy the quest based adventure and ability to amass great amounts of treasure and loot. But I would have given it a higher score had it come with either the multiplayer option, or an online gaming option.

But soon to be rectified, the designers of Torchlight are set to release a MMORPG based in the Torchlight world 18 months to 2 years after this games October 2009 release. So fingers crossed they will drop this promising sounding addition and keep us all clicking well into the wee hours of the morning.

Bitmap, Raster, Vector, how can I tell them apart?!

Graphics formats can sometimes be confusing. With so many types, many clients or small businesses don’t understand which to use for the web, which to use for print, or why the logo they have on the letterhead won’t blow up to fit a larger canvas.

Well fear no more! In this article I will go over the main styles of images, Vector and Bitmap/Raster, along with what formats belong in these categories, and how they are put to use.

Bitmap / Raster

- This style is created with pixels. Each pixel is assigned a location & color
- Photos & on-screen imagery are the main uses for this style of image
- Unfortunately, raster images can lose detail & become somewhat jagged when enlarged on-screen or printed at a larger size than designed for

Vector

- Vector images are created with both straight and curved lines defined by mathematical objects
- Logos and text that will be used in print or large scale viewing are best fit for Vector file formats
- Vector files on the other hand retain their quality when printed or viewed at any resolution

Bitmap / Raster File Formats

JPEG [.jpg] – In computing, JPEG is a commonly used method of lossy compression for photographic images. The degree of compression can be adjusted, allowing a selectable tradeoff between storage size and image quality. JPEG typically achieves 10:1 compression with little perceptible loss in image quality.

GIF [.gif] -The Graphics Interchange Format (GIF) is a bitmap image format that was introduced by CompuServe in 1987 and has since come into widespread usage on the World Wide Web due to its wide support and portability. The format supports up to 8 bits per pixel allowing a single image to reference a palette of up to 256 distinct colors chosen from the 24-bit RGB color space.

PNG [.png] – Portable Network Graphics is a bitmapped image format that employs lossless data compression. PNG was created to improve upon and replace GIF (Graphics Interchange Format) as an image-file format not requiring a patent license.

PSD [.psd] – The .PSD (Photoshop Document), Photoshop’s native format, stores an image with support for most imaging options available in Photoshop. These include layers with masks, color spaces, ICC profiles, transparency, text, alpha channels and spot colors, clipping paths, and duotone settings.

Vector File Formats

EPS [.eps] – Encapsulated PostScript, or EPS, is a DSC-conforming PostScript document with additional restrictions intended to make EPS files usable as a graphics file format. In other words, EPS files are more-or-less self-contained, reasonably predictable PostScript documents that describe an image or drawing, that can be placed within another PostScript document.

AI [.ai] – Adobe Illustrator Artwork (AI) is a proprietary file format developed by Adobe Systems for representing single-page vector-based drawings in either the EPS or PDF formats.

As far as the file formats I used, those are pretty much it. Sometimes I will use .PDF, but for the most part I stick to those listed above. They are usually the easiest to work with, and most clients are able to open the formats.

Well, I hope I gave you some insight into graphics formats, the differences between them, and the different file formats used. Please feel free to leave me a comment if you feel I have missed something, or just that you enjoyed the post.

Thanks for stopping by!

As a freelance designer weekends are just another work day to me. I have clients who are only free on the weekends, and visa versa. In that situation, it’s difficult to schedule yourself a day off. Although working as a freelance designer has it’s benefits of working from home, working in your own enviroment, you can become too comfortable working a specific number of hours a day, every day, on the schedule that you feel fits best. Which can end up becoming a 7 day work week, and sort of defeats the purpose of being a freelancer in the first place.

Now, I’m not saying you shouldn’t work at the best pace possible, I’m saying that sometimes you can become bogged down, burned out, and need a full day away from work.

Why you ask? It’s simple, the sleep deprived person may start to experience apathy, slowed speech and flattened emotional responses, impaired memory and an inability to be novel or multitask. Now, if you’re a freelancer, you know exactly what it’s like not getting enough rest throughout the week. This isn’t good, as your overall productivity will fall, and who will suffer? You and your clients.

Tony Page/Stone/Getty Images

Alright, so I will take a day off, but I don’t want it to be a waste. That’s fine, you don’t have to lay around all day feeling useless, but you shouldn’t attempt to do anything relevant to your line of freelance work. That means no e-books, RSS feeds, tutorials, or work whatsoever. Of course it is perfectly alright to contact a client, lead, or anything that is of necessity. You can’t run your business into the ground.

I suggest taking time out for you. Is it time for a haircut? Maybe it’s time to clean up the flowerbeds for spring? How about working on that empty room in your house that is your office, or possibly taking someone not work affiliated to lunch or dinner?

Like I said previously, nothing work related. That doesn’t mean you can’t get all of your other ducks in a row for the future. Whatever you can do to keep yourself relaxed, while still keeping your pride above average for the day.

Edit – Thanks for all of your love Comcast Photographer in the Menlo area, California!

Finally, be sure to do it on a day that is most convinient for you, and the things you want to accomplish on that day off. Don’t be surprised if you’re disturbed, but remember that you are on a day away from work, to regain strength and energy for the ensuing week ahead. Don’t become involved in the client’s problem too deep, as you many end up in the same situation tomorrow, tired, out of focus, and subject to making mistakes.

SEO & SEM – Two Different Things

Yes, as much as you are lead to believe, they are two different things. This is a quick article for clients, pontiental clients, or anyone who is interested in factual information, as opposed to cleverly written sales tactics or personal opinions.

Updated Today as I was graciously corrected by two experts in the field Jill Whalen & Danny Sullivan, who were nice enough to not only correct me, but give me the viable information I was after in the first place.

A quote from Danny Sullivan:

I actually meant to desphinn this because Wikipedia is wrong, in my opinion.

SEO = free listings

PPC = paid listings

SEM = the combination of the two.

Geez, the Wikipedia page even sites me as helping to popularize the term search engine marketing as an umbrella term but then calls SEM all paid? Insane.

They both gave me some great articles on this already existing, you can find them at the links below.

What’s the Difference Between SEO & SEM – HighRankings.com

Search Engine Optimisation

I found this to be the most accurate description:

Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of improving the volume or quality of traffic to a web site from search engines via “natural” or un-paid (“organic” or “algorithmic”) search results as opposed to search engine marketing (SEM) which deals with paid inclusion. Typically, the earlier (or higher) a site appears in the search results list, the more visitors it will receive from the search engine. SEO may target different kinds of search, including image search, local search, video search and industry-specific vertical search engines. This gives a web site web presence. – From Wikipedia

A very critical part of the explanation:

Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of improving the volume or quality of traffic to a web site from search engines via “natural” or un-paid (“organic” or “algorithmic”) search results as opposed to search engine marketing (SEM) which deals with paid inclusion

Search Engine Marketing

Search engine marketing, or SEM, is a form of Internet marketing that seeks to promote websites by increasing their visibility in search engine result pages (SERPs) through the use of paid placement, contextual advertising, and paid inclusion. The New York Times defines SEM as ‘the practice of buying paid search listings’. – From Wikipedia

Both of these are ever-evolving, always changing ways to promote websites. Do not be fooled into the “know all” “be all” tactics or services provided today, as they are usually just doing the same things your original web designer should have done at the beginning.

Using Twitter can be a powerful Marketing Tool.

A little bit about Twitter:

Twitter is a free social networking and microblogging service that enables its users to send and read messages known as tweets. Tweets are text-based posts of up to 140 characters displayed on the author’s profile page and delivered to the author’s subscribers who are known as followers. Senders can restrict delivery to those in their circle of friends or, by default, allow open access. Users can send and receive tweets via the Twitter website, Short Message Service (SMS) or external applications. While the service itself costs nothing to use, accessing it through SMS may incur phone service provider fees. – From Wikipedia

Twitter has evolved since it’s debut, and has become “the go to” social media tool, allowing followers to view tweets in real-time, as though they are with you every step of the day. Twitter also allows you access to additional visibility online, depending on your content(quality) and amount of tweets.

First, I’ll start off with a few quotes from Wired Magazine that really caught my eye.

Sushi: To eat or not to eat?

Cheesy line but hey, it got your attention didn’t it?

Yes, in this post I am going to talk about Sushi. I know, you probably hate how I jump topics so much, blogging experts recommend not to do it, but I’d rather do my own thing.

Alright, enough about the beginning of my downfall, time to kick start this Friday with some ideas for dinner this weekend! So here we go.

What is Sushi?

Sushi (寿司, 鮨, or 鮓?) is vinegar rice, topped with other ingredients, such as fish.[1] Sliced raw fish alone is called sashimi, as distinct from sushi. Sushi served rolled inside or around dried and pressed layer sheets of seaweed (or nori) is makizushi (巻き). Toppings stuffed into a small pouch of fried tofu is inarizushi. Toppings served scattered over a bowl of sushi rice is called chirashi-zushi (ちらし). – From Wikipedia

Whoa..so there is more than the california roll?! Hahaha, yes, keep reading.

There are a few different kinds, depending on how the item is presented. They are:

Chirashi-zushi – Usually a bowl or box of sushi rice topped with a variety of sashimi
Inari-zushi – Aburage (fried pouches of tofu) stuffed with sushi rice.
Maki-zushi – The rice and seaweed rolls with fish and/or vegetables. There are also more specific terms for the rolls depending on the style.

For instance:
Futomaki – thick rolls
Hosomaki – thin rolls
Uramaki – inside-out rolls

Nigiri-zushi -The little fingers of rice topped with wasabi and a filet of raw or cooked fish or shellfish. Generally the most common form of sushi you will see.
Temaki-zushi – Also called a hand-roll. Cones of sushi rice, fish and vegetables wrapped in seaweed. It is very similar to maki.

The fish in sushi can also come in a few different forms and styles, apart from the plain piece of fish.

You might see:
Neta or Tane- the name for the piece of fish (or other item) placed on a piece of nigiri sushi.
Hikari mono – a piece of fish with the silvery skin left on.
Sukimi – A chopped up piece of fish sometimes used in maki (rolls) or served as sashimi.

So then what is sashimi?

Sashimi (Japanese: 刺身, pronounced [saɕimiꜜ]; English: /səˈʃiːmiː/) is a Japanese delicacy primarily consisting of very fresh raw seafood, sliced into thin pieces and served with only a dipping sauce (soy sauce with wasabi paste or other condiments such as grated fresh ginger, or ponzu), depending on the fish, and simple garnishes such as shiso and shredded daikon radish. Dimensions vary depending on the type of item and chef, but are typically about 2.5 cm (1″) wide by 4 cm (1.5″) long by 0.5 cm (0.2″) thick. – From Wikipedia

What are those other things I see on my plate?

Depending on what you ordered and the whim of the chef, you might see items such as wasabi (the hot green Japanese horseradish-like rhizome), gari (pickled ginger, which comes in both a pink and a light tan color, with the lighter stuff usually indicating better quality). You may also see a large green leaf called shiso, which is often served with sashimi, and a shredded white mass of Japanese radish called daikon, which is also often served with sashimi.

I have been a fan of sushi/sashimi for years now, and I hope you try it atleast once in your life. Try it, and it you don’t like it, spit it out into a napkin, curse my name aloud, and mail me the napkin contents. Ew. But atleast you can say you tried it.

7 Days with The Safe Cig

I’m a smoker. I know. It’s horrible. My Mother and Father smoked, many of my friends smoke. I didn’t want to give up the simple luxury I enjoyed. What I didn’t enjoy was the coughing, extra mucus, burned tobacco smell all around me, and a reduction in how food tastes and smells.

The history of smoking dates back to as early as 5000–3000 BC when the agricultural product began to be cultivated in South America; consumption later evolved into burning the plant substance either by accident or with intent of exploring other means of consumption. The practice worked its way into shamanistic rituals. Many ancient civilizations, such as the Babylonians, Indians and Chinese, burnt incense as a part of religious rituals, as did the Israelites and the later Catholic and Orthodox Christian churches. Smoking in the Americas probably had its origins in the incense-burning ceremonies of shamans but was later adopted for pleasure or as a social tool. The smoking of tobacco and various hallucinogenic drugs was used to achieve trances and to come into contact with the spirit world. – From Wikipedia

We all know I am a Freelance Web Designer / Programmer, and I came across a client offering a new smoking alternative, an e-cigarette, named The Safe Cig. Now hopefully he doesn’t read this, but I was skeptical. Not because it being called “The Safe Cig”, no no, but because it was a “electronic cigarette.”

This puzzled me as I read further about the product, with it not using combustion, how can it provide me the satisfaction I attain from a cigarette?

This is what The Safe Cig says:

Since there is no flame, there is no combustion taking place. This means you are instantly eliminating over 4,000 chemicals that are released from burning tobacco. No tar, no carcinogens, and the nicotine is optional. The Disposable Atomized Refills can even be ordered in varying strengths, giving some users the potential to wean themselves off of nicotine completely.

Ok great. Those are some nice benefits. Along with no smell, and flavoring, I was sold. I attained one from the Owner directly as we are currently working on the site for The Safe Cig.

I received it within a week, and this is where the miracle begins.

The first day after charging a full night I did not have a cigarette available to me, well, locally, I suppose I could have gone to the store. So I started the morning with The Safe Cig alone. I was pleasantly surprised the nicotine-added Atomizer satisfied my morning craving after about 6 hits. I then started my day, using the The Safe Cig when I felt I needed a “fix”, and normally during the course of the day while working I consume roughly 8-10 cigarettes in about an 8 hour period. The entire day I used The Safe Cig, without requiring a real cigarette.

Doing good so far!

Until I came to dinner. I had a nice meal with my girlfriend, which was more than I should have ate, and I was quite full. I look to The Safe Cig immediately for my after eating smoke. Ready to see it’s magic. I used it roughly 8 times, until I realized something amazing, I wasn’t really even interested in smoking anything after about 8 drags. Even after such a large meal. Which means it took less of The Safe Cig to satisfy one of my main smoking habits, smoking after eating. So throughout the evening I continued to use The Safe Cig until bedtime, where I usually stop smoking 2-3 hours before getting in bed to prevent the bad smell and taste.

So day 1 is complete. I actually went from a pack a day of cigarettes to just The Safe Cig. It may sound a bit far fetched, but I would place my name on it. I was just as amazed.

Tomorrow I will post day 2 of The Safe Cig series.

Please feel free to ask any questions you may have, and I am still trying to quit smoking cigarettes so support is always welcome.

Be sure to check back tomorrow for day 2 of The Safe Cig Series!
